NONPROFIT RESOURCES
Below are resources for nonprofits compiled for our members to help save you time and valuable resources. Our goal is to share as much information as possible with our members.
Local Needs Assessments (see current website for layout http://www.nonprofitresource.org/LocalNeeds.asp )
In order to effectively plan to meet the needs of our communities, it is necessary to understand the needs, assets and demographics of each population you wish to serve. We have compiled the following resources to help you to increase the effectiveness of your programs by:
- Understanding community needs
- Gather demographic information and other statistics needed when applying for grants
- Preventing duplication of research and other studies already completed
If your are an organization who would like to share your needs assessment with other nonprofits, contact us to include your needs assessment on our website.
Funding Updates
Nonprofit Help Desk
To successfully establish a new nonprofit organization, many factors must be considered. What is its mission? What type of organizational structure and classification will best suit its purpose? What are the steps to develop an effective strategic plan? Where will the organization find funding? What licenses, permits, and registrations does California require? Does the IRS require and when? Find answers to these and many other questions using The Resource Center’s Nonprofit Help Desk below.
(see www.genie.org’s FAQ for ideas)
Free and Discounted Resources
This page is updated as the Resource Center staff received information regarding free or discounted resources of use to nonprofit organizations. We hope that this is a helpful resource for you and your organization. Please contact us to share a free or discounted resource that you know of.
